Teach Board Prescribed Textbooks For Classes 6th To 8th: JKBOSE To Pvt Schools

Srinagar, Jan 04 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Wednesday directed all recognized private schools to teach only board prescribed textbooks for Classes 6th to 8th from the ensuing academic session.

The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has learnt that Joint Secretary Publication and Procurement of JKBOSE has said that there should be implementation of textbooks published by JKBOSE by all the Private Schools affiliated with the board.

“It is once again reiterated for information of all the stake holder especially all the private schools affiliated with JKBOSE across that only the textbooks published by the board are implemented and prescribed for classes 6th to 8th from the ensuing academic session failing which necessary action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against the defaulters.”

“Parents are also advised that in case any school forces them to purchase books other than those published by JKBOSE. they should immediately contact the board,” BOSE said— (KNO).
