JKBOSE/JKSCERT has released the Model Papers for Class 8th students of Jammu and Kashmir, the Full PDF of model papers is uploaded on our site and students can download it through the Link given below.
According to an official notification issued by Director SCERT, Right to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Act, 2019 recommends regular examination in Classes 5th and 8th at the end of every academic year.
Jammu and Kashmir State council of education and research and training JK SCERT Class 8th Model Question Papers SCERT has prepared sample question papers for year. end/annual examinations of class 8th to enable students to achieve better performance in competitive exams.
The State Council of Educational Research & Training initiated review and revision of assessment process in light of the recommendations of National Education Policy – 2020 & provisions of Right to Free and Compulsory Education (Amendment) Act, 2019.
Regarding assessment & evaluation, the RTE (Amendment) Act, 2019 in its section 16 provides as under,:
“……There shall be a regular examination in the 5th class & 8th Class at the end of every academic year” & National Education Policy 2020 envisages as follows:
“…….all students will take school examination in grade 3, 5 & 8 which will be conducted by appropriate authority …..”
However, annual examination (year-end assessment) of class-VIII, for current academic session shall be conducted by SCERT as per guidelines according to scheme of assessment in vogue.

The focus is on Learning-outcomes and model papers will help teachers/students to get better insight of academics and will help them to know the pattern of questions inside out to perform efficiently in forthcoming assessment.
